It is with regret that the Joint Administrators of zavvi UK today announced the immediate closure of 22 zavvi UK stores. The Joint Administrators will continue to trade the remaining 92 stores throughout the UK and also today announce further reductions off current discounted prices, with 20-50% off across almost all product lines with effect from Friday 9th January.
The closure of these 22 stores will unfortunately lead to the redundancy of 178 employees. The Joint Administrators are working closely with the Insolvency Service's Redundancy Payment Office and Job Centre Plus to provide support and advice to all employees made redundant, including a fast-track process for paying redundancy entitlements.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales authorises T A Jack and S Allport to act as Insolvency Practitioners under section 390(2)(a) of the Insolvency Act 1986 and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants authorises A M Hudson to act as an Insolvency Practitioner under section 390(2)(a) of the Insolvency Act 1986.
The affairs, business and property of the Group are being managed by the Joint Administrators T A Jack, S Allport and A M Hudson. The Joint Administrators act as agents of the Company only and without personal liability.
