It is with regret that the Joint Administrators of zavvi UK today announced the immediate closure of a further 17 zavvi UK stores. The Joint Administrators will continue to trade the remaining 31 stores throughout the UK.
The closure of these 17 stores will unfortunately lead to the redundancy of 242 employees. The Joint Administrators continue to work closely with the Insolvency Service Redundancy Payment Office and Job Centre Plus to provide support and advice to all employees made redundant, including a fast track process for paying redundancy entitlements.
The Joint Administrators are continuing to trade the remaining 31 UK stores and remain hopeful that a sale of some or all of these stores can be achieved. Detailed discussions are continuing with two interested parties with a view to a sale as a going concern.
